The East Brunswick Arts Coalition (EB Arts), in association with Chiron Films, Inc., announces a screenwriting competition to select an original screenplay for production as a feature film to be shot entirely within East Brunswick Township.

ELIGIBILITY

1. Open to legal residents of Middlesex County, New Jersey only

2. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older at time of submission

3. No entry fee required

4. Employees and board members of EB Arts and Chiron Films, Inc., and their immediate family members, are ineligible to participate

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

1. Content Guidelines:

   • Genre: Drama, Comedy, Romance, or Suspense (no Horror or Action)

   • Content must be appropriate for PG-13 equivalent rating

   • Story must be producible entirely within East Brunswick Township

   • Must be feasible for production with non-union volunteer cast and crew

   • Runtime target: 80-100 minutes

2. Formatting Requirements:

   • Standard industry screenplay format (Courier 12pt font)

   • Properly formatted title page with contact information

   • Page count: 90-120 pages maximum

   • PDF format only

   • Must include a one-page synopsis and logline as separate attachment

3. Submission Window:

   • Opens: April 1, 2025 at 12:01 AM EST

   • Closes: May 15, 2025 at 11:59 PM EST

   • Late submissions will not be considered
